“Small” here is not about size but significance. My work is small in that it is insignificant. And “simple” is what I hope it will be. I don’t want to complicate life any more than it complicates itself. I would really like to think that my work has the power to simplify life but that’s probably hoping for too much.

    There is also another idea behind “Small & Simple.” The Book of Mormon says, “By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.” I would like it if my art could identify the small and simple evidences of God. And if my sense of humor sometimes gets in the way of that, well, I hope God will forgive me or that, at least, it will make you smile.
